Know forest, know food. This distinct Plated Landscape experience wends through the woods of the Brecksville Reservation and connects us to the source of our food, which quietly surrounds us.
Started in 2006 and trademarked in 2016, Plated Landscapes are the brain child of Chef/Founder/Farmer, Ben Bebenroth. These al fresco dining experiences take place at our farm, Spice Acres, along with area Cleveland Metroparks locations.
Follow along the ridgeline on a hike guided by a Cleveland Metroparks naturalist into the Brecksville Reservation to identify the variety of wild mushrooms and accompanying species that grace our plates in the summer season. Let the summer night set in while locally sourced ingredients come together on the table with wonderfully paired wines. Featuring Chanterelle mushrooms, black trumpet mushrooms, chicken of the woods mushrooms, edible blooms, pollen tips, spruce tips, green spice bush berries, our summer Chanterelle harvest is one of the most notable dinners of the calendar year and we cherish these mushrooms as the pinnacle of the life of our forests and fields of Northeast Ohio.
